16th Century Manor House

As you can see the old 2 barn doors had been replaced by 2 bigger sized ones which we painted from scratch.

These were sanded off , knotted using Zinsser bin spray then primed using a Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Matt minister red colour as this Zinsser is self priming and self undercoating. We filled all holes using a 2 part woodfiller then spot primed back in then 2 top coats of Farrow and Ball exterior eggshell Radichio red colour will possibly need a third coat finish once installed.

We always make sure the tops of all our exterior doors are primed and first coated with water base paints and the bottoms primed and 3 coated to stop any water retention. The reason we only put one primer and one top coat on the tops of doors is it still allows the doors to breathe and move which eventually will stop them bowing or twisting.

All the exteriors we have completed facias, gutters, down pipes, soffits etc then we final coat everything once all building exterior works are completed.
