16th Century Manor House

We firstly applied the Zinsser Grade 1 paint to seal all lime render and plaster mixed to the Farrow and ball colours as this paint has a great sealing quality for a long lasting job. The Zinsser Grade 1 was only used as a sealer coat. Then we ordered all the top coat Farrow and ball colours for the final 2 top coats for the chalky Matt finish that our client requires.

This is an old building which requires a lot of attention not only in the preparation but also with the way we seal the new plasterworks and lime render.

We have used the Grade 1 Zinsser product as a base coat as it stiffens all new lime and plasterworks but yet still allows the building to breathe. It also has fungicidal qualitys mixed in the paint which is great for old properties to stop any staining coming through the lime render and totally seals new plaster and lime render.

More to come

Cheers guys
